Moments of a memory - Abstract traces and noisy audible tissue - Fuzzy symbols of dreams pass by - Overlapping spheres of dialogues - Jumping details of resistance - Fluid moments of realignment and vibrant togetherness of clarity - The chirping of crickets, rain, and cowbell sounds grow more compressed and freeze - Somebody speaks in a fragmentized way - The former movement exists as a trace of memory here and now.
"Love - A Memory Sculpture" is a film-based philosophical research project which was created during an arts-based-philosophy residency in India. On the visual level, the film utilises "Memory Sculpture" drawings, that are performative symbol-language compositions which translate psychic processes into direct physical actions on paper. All drawings were made during the research stay. On the auditive level, the film uses field recordings and directed recordings of Apollina Smaragd’s voice that Katharina Klement made and manipulated electronically during her research stay.
