The ghost town is a space devoid of life. Inhabited only by a few animals and the subjective gaze of an observer wandering through an inert space. The previous life has disappeared. Is anybody there?. The Wild West returns to the present; A territory without law or dominated by the law of the strongest? A paradigm shift caused by the pandemic, a territory of opportunity ... or perhaps the end of civilization.
Ghost Town is a triptych of video art and experimental music. Its implementation began in the midst of a global pandemic, when Spain suffered the first wave of the virus and its harshest confinement to date. Miguel A. García, internationally renowned experimental musician, contacted me through the internet and we began to work on the idea of a ghostly vision of deserted cities under the metaphor of the old American West. Three pieces emerged from our collaboration: Spectre, Pandemic View and Locked Animals. All represent the spirit of desolation of those hard times when cities were deserted and friends and family succumbed to disease.
Moments that sadly repeat themselves again in new waves…
The aesthetics of this film are based on the destructuring of the gaze, on the loss of references in the face of a change in the historical paradigm. A hallucinatory representation of loss and the desire to find someone in the middle of a deserted city during the worst moments in our recent history.

As an archive in constant change, walls surround us. As on skin, traces of urban life are shown on them.
