At the age of 4 he moved to Mexico with his parents: Elda Rojas and the Bolivian writer Renato Prada Oropeza.
In 1991 he directed his first short film: El Final de la Ruta based on a story his father wrote especially for him
From 1993 to 1995 he studied at EICTV Cuba His documentary Soy un Niño Todavía participated in more than 50 festivals winning awards.
Upon his return to Mexico he made 20 short films using digital video a few weeks after its release.
In 2002 legendary actor Hugo Stieglitz produced his debut feature Tiempo Real which opened a new category in Guinness World Records™: the first film made in one take to one camera in the history of cinema: an 86-minute shot that won the One-Take Film Festival in Croatia and the International Non-Budget Film Festival in Cuba.
In 2008 his comedy Chiles Xalapeños is the most pirated Mexican film circulating millions of copies.
