Joaquín is a Spanish hyperrealist painter. He was a teacher in Madrid, but due to the pandemic he lost his job. Unable to pay for the flat, he had to move from the capital to Gandesa in Tarragona province, the house of some friends who have left it to him and his wife. There he is making a series of paintings about empty Spain to try to survive.
